Freedom Riding Surf Shop in Mal Pais, Costa Rica

We recently opened a FR Surf Shop and SUP tour service in Mal Pais, Costa Rica. The shop is located at the end of the road in Mal Pais. The tours begin at the beach in front of the soccer field in Mal Pais, near the fishing village where clients receive a 20 minute explanation of the equipment, fundamentals and techniques involved with SUP.  Tours include a visit to the famous Cabo Blanco Reserve, where you’ll get amazing views of the reserve from the water, followed by a paddle towards Mar Azul point. The tour takes about two hours depending on your skill level and speed preferences.  It is ideal to begin the tour either in the morning from 7:00-9:00 A.M. or in the late afternoon from 3:30-4:30 P.M. to avoid the intense mid-day sun.  There is no minimum of how many people can go, so one person is fine.

Shop hours are from 9am to 6pm daily, and Sunday 9am-noon.
